Make, just like Zapier, is a powerful tool that serves as a “bridge” between apps and can thus link your heyflow to thousands of other apps in view of automating processes.

💡 Tip: Popular use cases are connecting your heyflow with your CRM or your email marketing tool to collect new contacts or enhance them with information from your heyflow.

Note: Heyflow can only be used as a trigger, not an action.

Setup

Step 1: Create a scenario

Sign up or log in to your Make account and go to the Make dashboard. Click on 'Scenarios' and '+ Create a new scenario' top right.

Create your first module by clicking on the huge plus sign and choose a webhook, since we don’t have a native app in Make. Select 'Custom webhook'.

Click on 'add' in order to give our webhook a name. Then click on 'OK' and 'Save'.

Step 2: Integrate with Heyflow

You immediately get a webhook URL, that you can copy.

Insert your webhook URL into Heyflow and click on 'Connect'. And, as always, don’t forget to re-publish your flow.

Step 3: Set up an Action

Head back to Make and create your second module. For example Slack.

You now can choose from a variety of actions. Just opt for 'Create a message', as you want to receive a message whenever a user submits your flow.

Click on 'Add' to connect your Slack account. Then choose 'IM Channel' as channel type, to receive a message to your own personal account. In the text area. you can customize the message you want to be sent out, each time a user submits your flow. However, you have to do a run-through of your heyflow first, in order for the Heyflow fields to appear in Make.

Click on 'OK' and 'Run once'.

Head back to your flow, and do a quick run-through of the flow.

Now head back to Make again. Click on the text area in your Slack module. All the heyflow fields have been successfully mapped in Make.

So now you can start structuring your message. For this, simply drag-and-drop the different blocks to the text area. Once finished, switch the toggle on the bottom left.

Click save. The scenario is now up and running. You've successfully connected your heyflow with Make. Well done and happy automating!

Use Case: Automated Downloads

With Make you have the functionality to download files automatically.

This enables a faster processing of uploaded documents in your CRM tool, e.g., directly as a PDF file or uploading a file, e.g., in your Google Drive.

This is how it works

  1. In order to use this function, you need to connect HTTP integrations with Make.

  2. Select the action: Get a file.

  3. You can now select the URL from the triggered responses via the webhook and use the generated file in the next steps of the scenario.

Link access needs to be enabled in the settings of your flow. This is an important requirement to make it work.
